Help Drive Change with a new CASA License Plate

Turn Every Mile Into a Hopeful Message for Ohio’s Children

Ohio CASA’s new Special Interest CASA license plate is a moving message of hope for Ohio children — a small change to your car that makes a big impact statewide.

The plates are now available at Ohio BMV locations. Whether you click the button below or ask at your next BMV visit, getting the CASA specialty plate is quick and easy. Every plate sold directly supports local CASA programs.

The moment you leave your driveway, you’re driving awareness and fueling support for CASA volunteers and the children they serve.

“Whether you’re an active supporter of our work or someone who is passionate about helping Ohio children, this specialty CASA plate is a simple and effective way to make a positive impact,” said Ohio CASA Executive Director Doug Stephens. “Not only will you help the Ohio CASA Network, but you are increasing knowledge of our mission.”

Ohio CASA has participated in the state’s specialty license plate program for decades. This newest design highlights CASA volunteers and is intended to raise awareness about the need for community support.

CASA volunteers are community members from all walks of life. After completing a background check and comprehensive training, CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge or magistrate to advocate for children experiencing abuse and neglect.

“This latest license plate push comes at an important time. There is a need for more CASA volunteers across Ohio,” said Stephens.

CASA volunteers complete at least 30 hours of training and in-court observation before being assigned a case. They get ongoing support and complete annual training.

There are around 2,500 CASA volunteers advocating for 9,000 children annually across 61 counties.

The next time you’re at the BMV, ask about the Special Interest CASA license plate or follow the short guide below for purchasing one online:

  • Select your vehicle, then follow the instructions for replacing/exchanging your plate for another.
  • You will be asked several questions. Select either “I want to be assigned a plate number by the BMV” or “I want to get a personalized plate number.” Those options will allow you to add a logo to your plate.
  • You will then be given the option to choose a logo from a dropdown menu or to search by image.
  • Choose the plate listed “CASA AD-LITEM 2 KIDS.”
  • From there, fill out the rest of the form and you will receive your new CASA license plate in the mail.
